Hawaii---When to go and where?
After Noras' surgery next month (July) I want to take her to Hawaii.
If any of you experts could tell me what would be the perfect time to go for a visit? Probably would be for two weeks. Suggestions of when and where to go. Maui? Nick

Would totally think Maui, we stayed there for a few weeks, but it was with my roommates from college. Kauai is sweet also. If it is after surgery, that might be the place 'cause it is really laid back and really, not a lot going on. I mean, we rented a car for the day and drove until we ran out of road. (main highway doesn't go all the way around) Honolulu, well even my friends said "you might as well be in Houston or Dallas". And no one really knows this but it is about the size of Houston right now. ps, let me know if you want some good food hook ups in Maui! Have fun and best wishes and prayers to your wife!

So it sounds like Maui is the place but when?
I figure both July and most of August are going to be a no--go because of the surgery so when would be the best time to go after then? Nick

I hope the surgery is nothing too serious!
I've never been to Hawaii, but researched it a bit once. I think if we went, we'd do Maui. Have fun, it looks like a beautiful place on LOST.

If it were me.. I would do several of the islands while there. I hate long flights. To me it would be like going to Europe..so I would see and do all that I could to avoid another long flight.
What the hell...you only live once...enjoy the islands! Hope all goes well with the surgery. I hate those more than long flights!
