Time for me to do a little bragging of our 2 graduates....
![]() Marissa and Mack both graduated this year....Marissa graduated pre-school a couple of weeks ago and now Mack has graduated from elementary school ![]() Both ceremonies brought tears to my eyes...the realization especially with Mack that he is leaving the school and friends he has known for 6 years to head to middle school with some of his friends...and so many new faces from all the other schools merging into one school now. He seems eager and confident...I think I am the one that realizes he will enter as my "baby boy" and come out a "young man". ![]() And Marissa will enter the elementary school that Mack just left. Mack's teachers are happy to see her as they told me they can keep track of his progress in middle school by asking Marissa how he is doing. Emmorton is a great elementary school and Marissa is beyond ready to go to kindergarten. She keeps asking "do I start next week?" Boy I sure hope she keeps that enthusiasm throughout the years!![]() Here are the pics of my babies on their special days. These first two pics bring tears to my eyes...the first one (sorry for the quality as it is scanned) is from Mack's first day of school at Emmorton and Marissa was almost 1...and I made them do the same pose Thursday morning on Mack's last day of school at Emmorton...where did the time go? ![]() ![]() Marissa's graduationg class..she is in front of her teacher in the blue shirt. ![]() Getting her certificate. ![]() Her BFF Madison. ![]() I love this pic...too cute and sort of says "okay Mom enough pics already!" ![]() My now middle schooler. ![]() Mack was recognized for being Library Assistant/helper, being in Advanced Band and Chorus. They stood when their names were called and received certificates for each. ![]() Okay this is when the waterworks starting flowing...at the end of the ceremony the class sang and then each child presented their parents with a yellow carnation...and wrapped around it was a note Mack had written to Michael and me thanking us for all we did for him during the school year. It took me about 15 minutes to regain my composure before heading outside for the reception. It was a very touching moment. ![]() Mack and his best buddy Zack. ![]() Okay I'm done bragging for now!! Congrats to everyone who has graduates this year!!
