Surgery
Tomorrow, Monday Morning, I am having surgery to repair the Rotator Cuff tear injury that I experiernced from my fall.

Best wishes for a quick and complete recovery!
I had my right shoulder done two years ago and the left 12 years ago (at age 50). I have 100% range of motion and both shoulders feel great. Just do what the Doc says and pay very close attention to your physical therapist! Do you know the difference between a PT and a terrorist? You can negotiate with a terrorist!

Nora, don't worry, everything will be just fine; in fact it will be better than fine because after your shoulder's fixed you will eventually feel so much better. I have had 3 procedures on my back at the hospital since December, and all of them make you follow that no food/drink after midnight rule. The first thing you'll want to do after surgery is eat a big lunch! Good luck to you and let us know how it went.

Rotator cuffs suck. My tear put an end to my college baseball career. Take good care of it in post op and the drinks will be there when you get out!!

I had a lttle tear in mine... shots didn't help..doc wanted to operate...I said no..and pain went away....go figure.

Well surgery is over.
The doctor found that there is an impingement in her shoulder also. Nora is in a lot of pain because the local that was given to her didn't freeze the area. One out of every twenty doesn't and of course she had to be the unlucky one. Morphine didn't work well either. I have to do some research about all this. Impingement Syndrome - Orthogate - Improving orthopedic care, education and research with Internet technologies (Cosmo she can't have any showers until after her next appointment in ten days. )Pills every 3 - 4 hours, using the polar cub and resting is what she is doing. I'll keep you all informed. Thanks from both of us for the get well wishes. Nick (and Nora)

goodness, that doesn't sound good at all, the poor thing.

Nora, I hope you feel better soon!
I had a separated but not torn rotator cuff that didn't end up needing surgery but took over two years to heal- thank God for deep tissue massage therapy- it's the only thing that worked!

Please give Nora our best. We are hoping the pain goes away soon. In the meantime you, Nick, are under orders to wait on her hand and foot and treat her like a princess. Understood?

Owwww, big ouch! I hope her pain goes away quickly. Keep an eye on her while she is on pain meds...I would fall asleep while eating..very scary.
