Default San Francisco Trip Report

Just wanted to share a trip report of an incredible weekend we spent in San Francisco. I have lived in California my whole life and never spent any time there except to fly out to Mexico We went specifically to go to the Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival. We got vip tickets for Sunday Aug. 24specifically to see Rodrigo y Gabriela (Huge fans). We stayed in an RV Park in Pacifica right on the beach called the San Francisco RV Resort. We first pulled in to our site, and right next to us was a tour bus. We ended up kicking it with some incredible guys from Bobby Chitwood's band (Bobby Chitwood - Welcome To The Official Web Site Of Bobby Chitwood). We had the fire going, the jack daniels flowing, and a concert right next to our trailer! We took a few day trips to SF to Fisherman's Wharf.

This is our site

Our neighbors tour bus

An incredible concert right next to our trailer. These guys are TALENTED musicians!

More Bobby Chitwood

Cool thing was the lead guitarist used my homemade camping chair that I modified to sit in while playing the guitar.

Some pictures from our day trip to the wharf

and finally to the festival. Rodrigo y Gabriela TORE IT UP!!!! We had a great time listening to all the bands including Jack Johnson, and drinking the 7$ beers. Golden Gate Park is beautiful

OMG! I was totally going to say the SAME thing! That's just wrong.

Thanks for your trip report Derek! We loved San Fran when we visited some 5 years ago or so. Oh, and love the pic of your son with the Hooter's girls. He'll appreciate that one day.

LOVE Rodrigo y Gabriela!! Downloaded their album from iTunes after Lollapalooza last year. Looks like a great time. BTW, did the little guy learn any new words this trip?

That place truly is amazing. We found Golden Gate Park a few days ahead and decided to drive down to the Wharf via Market Street. That was the CRAZIEST drive I have even been through. The amount of people and busses, couple with not knowing where I was going was killing me. Saw many many intersting folks. There is so much to do there, that we decided that we are going to make it an annual thing. Oh, and it was sweatshirts when we left, and 2 hours later at home...100 degrees.

That's why it's a nice place to visit, but wouldn't want to live there.
