*BANNED*...Again!!!!

Perhaps it doesn't have the "drama" (we know how some of you love that word ) of other postings regarding being *BANNED* we have seen here lately, but it was traumatic for us and we think worth letting people know about.

A few days ago Cheri and I headed over to Sam's Club to buy bulk cleaning products and toilet paper, such being the exotic nature of our life in Mexico. As usual we didn't dress up for the occasion. My three piece blue suit remains in storage and Cheri's diamond tierra is someplace in the back of the closet. We wore what we wear everyday. Shorts, sandals, a shirt for me and a top for Cheri. We work in those clothes, go to restaurants and bars in those clothes, and party in those clothes. It's our Playa uniform.

So of course that's what we wore to Sam's Club. Specifically Cheri wore a pair of basic jean shorts (no Daisy Duke stuff...just nice) and a bikini top (none of her special beach day Wicked Weasel stuff, just a regular old bikini top). The same outfit you see everywhere in a beach town.

We thought we looked pretty presentable. Hell we even thought we looked kinda nice. We even wore clean shorts! But when we reached the door of Sam's Club, the elderly lady checking members' cards saw Cheri and threw herself across the doorway.

"You cannot come in" she cried, pointing in Cheri's direction. "You must wear more clothing."

We actually looked around to see if perhaps a naked person...or DaddyB...was standing behind us. No, she was talking to us. She refused to listen to reason or give further explanation (that seems common in these "you are *BANNED* situations ). So back to the car we went to find a t-shirt for Cheri.

Once upon a time we might have let this go...but Kyla Ebbert has taught us to stand up for our rights. So our attorney will be holding a press conference later this week to let Sam's Club know of our demands (higher discounts on the TP and free Icees at the snack bar). And of course we are expecting an offer from Playboy shortly.

And while we don't expect anyone to take sides () until justice prevails...it's City Club shopping for us.

That's pretty funny, but unfortunate as it seems like they've lost a customer.

I remember once when I was at a pretty nice restaurant with a couple of friends. We had stopped eating for a few minutes and got caught up in conversation, and all of us still had most of our meals left. The manager came to our table asked if we were finished, we said no, then he told us rather rudely that if we didn't finish our food, he would be very insulted and would ban us from the restaurant.

He may have just been messing with us, but it was rude, and we haven't been back there since.

Cheri and I get recognized on the street all the time, "Are you Tony and Cheri?" Even Huggybear gets recognized, "Is this the famous Huggybear????" But tonight was the first time I've ever had anyone ask me, "Are you Mister February? I'm keeping my calendar on February all year round."
