Default Football/Party Food

We always have people over to our house for big games (who am I kidding, all games) and we always have appetizers of some sort and sometimes even full meals.

This Sunday (Patriots/Chargers) I am making:
homemade Guac
5 Layer Mexican dip (hot and tasty)
What's It (homemade chex mix - To die for!)
Cheese and Crackers (but not chedder cheese)
Croissants (sp) stuffed with bacon and chive cream cheese

It's all pretty basic man food but I love it too

Probably some other assorted things.

So what do you make or enjoying having?

I LOVE corn chips, especially with guac ... and/or the layered bean dip pie kind of thing ...
that and beer and diet soda () when I get too buzzy.

Taco Soup... very easy to make and everybody likes it. But Be warned, wait till almost half time to serve it. It contains beans.

I call them Zesty Mini Dogs...it's simple mini cocktail hot dogs cooked in a crockpot with beer and tabasco....let simmer until hot and ready to serve...depending on how hot you like it just keep adding the tabasco!!!

Baked salami (basted with chili sauce & beer) - serve with cocktail rye and a selection of mustards.
Reuben Dip (served hot in a hollowed out rye bread). Best to check with your cardiologist before this one, though.

Another quick recipe is called Cream Cheese Kicker...8oz of cream cheese softened and 1/2 a jar of Harry & David's Pepper and Onion Relish...you just mix the cream cheese and relish until smooth and serve with crackers......first tastes sweet but it has a hot kick to it...easiest recipe I make!

Adam makes killer hot wings. He makes his own "buffalo style" sauce...I want to say the recipe originally came from an episode of Emeril Live.

We make a buffalo chicken dip (cream cheese, canned chicken, Texas Pete - to taste & ranch dressing - mostly to taste & until you get a nice coral/salmon color ....baked until bubbly & warm) and serve it with tortilla chips.

Adam makes good guacamole and his salsa...oh, my!

I like to have a veggie tray of some sort, too.

On the days that I don't feel like making a bunch of stuff, well, I just get online and order some Papa John's.

The buffalo chicken dip is a fave around here also.

I like to make Calzones and cut them up (we call them wedgies, thats what a local pizza place calls them).

Sarah also makes salsa, playa style!

Pretty easy stuff to make....1 block cream cheese, 1 can of chicken and then the hot sauce and ranch is just to taste. It's delish. Better when it's piping hot right outta the oven.
