In crowd out crowd...

Bluespicker hit it right. My daughter is not in the in crown at high school....but the in crowd are the ones who all get into trouble, those are the girls who are wearing lots of makeup, those kind of clothes that I cringe at, and are very, very clicky and mean to each other! My daughter's supposed "out crowd" dress respectably, act respectably and kind to each other and other people, and have a lot of fun just being themselves! All they ever do is laugh!

I have been in the "in crowd" my whole life. That's because, I decide who I let in.

We didn't have an "in" or "out" crowd in high school, we only had 20 kids in the class, and were all the "out" crowd.

I have a pilates class in the morning tomorrow, followed by swim lesson for my 3 y/o, then the rest of the time will be spent getting ready for the game on Sunday. Saturday night we are getting snow I think, so probably a fire, a movie and some Blue Moon

Tonight we're going out to dinner to celebrate my hubby's 50th, which is actually tomorrow, but we have a "kid thing" to attend that night.

We're going here:
http://www.avellinosfairfield.com/

The owner is a long-time client and friend; he does a fabulous job, if you're ever in the area.
We are doing something we have always wanted to do, which is to give him a dollar amount, then have him create a tasting menu for us and 9 close friends. We're even hiring a driver to take us to and from, so no designated driver sadness! (Usually mine)

Yum!

HOLA from the arctic circle! I mean Chicago! Where the high to day should reach about -4. TOmorrow should be another freeze-your-ass-off stunner with predeiceted temps to get to -25 at it's worst!!

Good news is I'm wearing my new boots and they are awesome. Check these bad boys out (don't see many pairs of these in Playa!):

I'm freeeezing!! It's cold, cold, cold!! Coldest day of the season so far and only going to get colder (-30f with the windchill!!). I'm wearing my scarf and mittens at my desk this morning. The company christmas party is tonight downtown. It was cancelled in December due to bad weather. I don't even want to go. I'd rather just go home and crawl back into bed. It's been one of those boo hoo weeks. Tomorrow I have a dinner date with a someone I haven't seen in years. I'm looking forward to catching up. Sunday, I'm making dinner for my bestfriend and my godson!

It's all good here in VB...supposed to get some wintry weather this weekend. We'll see.

As for right now...I'm sitting in the office. The submittals I'm working on for two hotels are at a stand-still until the general contractor decides on a brick & mortar color. The other submittal package I've been working on is being scrutinized by the general contractor. It is slow in the masonry world at the moment...so here I am.

I'm just glad it's Friday. Hubby went out last night for drinks...maybe tonight will be my night.

Maybe I should come down by you as you are going to be 5 degrees warmer!! Nice boots! Reminds me that I should have worn my Uggs and thrown the office dress code to the wind!!

I've had my eye on a pair of these bad boys for over 5 years now, believe it or not. Couldn't justify them because I don't ski. But now I have a girls-only weekend trip to a ski resort planned for Feb and figured PERFECT! (still don't ski, BTW).
