Same here for us David. We have over a foot of snow and it's drfting like crazy. Should be snow and wind all night too. Had to drive about 17 miles today and it was total white out. Alot of cars in the ditches.
Stayed home the rest of the day and will have to dig out tomorrow. Stay safe and warm and see you in a couple of weeks. Hope Tammy has a quiet night.

It was as bad as we thought it would be.
![]() ![]() 12-15 inches of snow with drifting. 3 of the 5 nurses called in because of the weather. One of the call ins was a guy that lives in town and just got a H3 Hummer. He knew the other 2 nurses would call in. They live 30 miles away along the Bay where the white outs * and drifting was the worse. He didn't want to be that busy. The Nursing Manager called him at home and told him he couldn't call in, the hospital would send some one to pick him up. ![]() He drove in. Nursing even kept some nurses over their shift for another 6 hours. I spent lots of time in the parking lot getting cars unstuck. Many we just pushed back into their spot and people found other way home. I even took 2 nurses home with the hospital 4 wheel trucks. After I got out of work at 6:30 I had to wait 1 1/2 hours till Tammy got out. I went and picked up two more people. * white out.....for those lucky people who live south of Cuba thats when the snow is blowing so hard all you can see is white. You can't tell what is the road, the field, or the ditch. Last night you couldn't see traffic lights until you were 1/2 a block away.

Another time I was at a friends house who had help us write our will. As I was leaving in a snow storm another car was coming towards me. It was a real bad storm white out so I just pulled over to the side of the road until he went by. When I started to go I still couldn't see very well. Next thing I know I'm looking at a small tree. I hit the brakes. I stopped just as the front of the car edged over an 8 foot ditch full of snow. I laughed that if I had gone in the ditch that at least when they found me in the spring I had my will on the seat next to me.

Well, we got a few inches of snow last night from an Alberta Clipper, better than a Colorado low in that they hang around a while, the Clippers don't. Although with the Clippers it usually gets cold, guess what, it did, holy smokes!!!!! Highways are closed right now as the winds are supposed to be really high today, makes for that light fluffy stuff that fell, to whip around good. Luckily, I get to stay home & work today, puppy proofing my house (that's another story & I'll tell ya later, when we get her)
