My wife loves her Nike Shox...

I have K-Swiss and they have been fine for me. I dont put much stock in sneakers, they all seem pretty similar to me but sandals, those can make a big difference.

But next time I drive across the line (next month) I"m going to pick up a pair of these:

Ginger..be careful with the Nikes, especially Shox. Erinn had lots of trouble with them in regards to her arthritis. The HS bball team had Shox as the team shoe a few years ago. They had lots of injuries and problems so they were scrapped fairly quickly. Several teams had trouble with them and there was a story on the news about them. I would hope they tweaked the design a little since then, though.

In college the track team wore Nikes. I still buy mostly Nikes but do have a few pair of New Balance now. I looked at the Nike shocks but thought they were too heavy and didn't like that much heel. It's hard to run on your toes with that big of a heel.

I usually buy New Balance. That is the brand of running shoe I just retired. My new running shoes are a new brand to me. Asics, so far I love them.

I pretty much only wear sneakers for running and Basketball. Otherwise I'm in my flip flops or my Rockports (chucka's)

I swear by Adidas. My last several pairs have been great.

We have a running store here that does a great job finding you a shoe for running comfort. Bring in your old shoes, so they can look at the wear and the tread, and tell them what hurts or feels good, and they will suggest a shoe for you.

I provided the Athletic Director to our local college his vehicle (of choice) to drive from our dealership. In return he stocks me with the lastest Nike crosstrainers and workout gear and of course tickets. I'm too cheap to buy myself a pair of $120 plus Nike's, but when they are FREE, well thats another story~!

I love Nike cross trainers for lifting and adidas for running. I had asics but prefer adidas.

Default Fashion Crisis!

So I'm working out at Gold's tonight as part of my futile attempt to get bathing suit ready by the end of March and what happens?!?! Sneaker blowout! I remembered Mikey mentioned Pumas when I saw these cuties:

The website says they "create a comfortable, cushioned ride," which is definitely important for my workout, but I remember too that it was mentioned the Pumas are big with the kids. Am I too "old" for Pumas? I certainly don't want to come off looking like an older woman trying to look younger! Help!

I wear Nike's, but have heard that New Balance is most recommended by orthopedists. I'm thinking about trying some on cause I need better shock absorbers!
