I know this is the Just For Fun forum. So do we do the "asking for nice thoughts" threads over here?
My Kelsey goes in for her foot surgery on Thursday. Would appreciate prayers, thoughts, whatever you do. I posted more detail about it in my blog, but she is having a potential melanoma mole removed from her foot. We are of course praying it is not melanoma, and that her healing time goes quickly as she has dance competitions in 3 weeks. We are told 4-6 weeks for healing as she is getting a skin graft (the mole is very big) but we are holding out hope for the 3 weeks! Thanks everyone!

Copied from my blog: So Dr. French makes me feel a little better - but not wholly better - about this whole dealio. He says it’s pretty slim chances it is melanoma, but he also says he won’t exclude it 100% which is why he is being cautious and has seen us in his office within 2 days of getting the call from the dermatologist (whom I might add is probably shitting bricks because of his misdiagnosis of this thing, can you say ‘malpractice’ boys and girls?) when Dr. French has a waiting list of 9 months. He says the biopsy did NOT come back showing any melanoma specific cells. He says it did come back showing abnormal cells, however, and he says they can’t tell for sure until they have it off and it is sent to pathology. Since the mole - or ‘melanocytic nevus’ - has grown in the past and become itchy, etc. they are being very cautious, as these can be signs of malignancy. *sigh*

Keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers! Sending healing wishes for a speedy recovery. My Erinn had foot surgery in August. It is amazing that young people have the capacity to rehab quickly. Stay positive and strong for Kels. Take care!
