A new CD Cheri picked up in the States (we pre-ordered)..."Going Home", a Tribute to Fats Domino. GO BUY THIS CD TODAY!!! I mean it.

Its put out by the Tititina's Foundation (of which the Luna Blue is a proud supporter). The Tip' Foundation was created after Katrina to raise money for the needy in New Orleans particuarly for music related causes like funding the devasted music program in schools (all the instruments, facilities and a lot of instructors dissapeared in the storm) and helping members of the local music scene who lost everything.

This latest project is a two cd set of various people doing covers of songs written by the Fat Man. It is incredible. Some stuff is old, some recorded new but it all rocks. John Lennon doing "Ain't that a Shame", Paul McCartney and the genius Allen Toussaint doing "I Want to Walk You Home". Lucinda Williams, BB King, Ivan Neville and Dumpstaphunk, Bonnie Rait, Toots and the Maytals, Robert Plant, Norah Jones, Herbie Hancock, Los Lobos, Neil Young, Willie Nelson...man it just goes on and on.

Money from the CD goes to help construction and rebuilding of homes in New Orleans poorest and hardest hit area, the 9th Ward...including reconstruction of the home of Fats Domino himself.

Right now I'm listening to Lenny Kravitz with Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews and the Rebirth Brass band going absolutely nuts on "Whole Lotta Loving".

You will love your Sirius! Just so's ya know, you can listen online as well, just go to the website and log in (my user name is my phone number that I put on my account, yours should be the same - and then they email you temp password) That way you can stream audio at home or in the office when you do not have your radio nearby (I am doin' it right now!) I am listening to Channel 12 right now - perfect for when you can't decide what to listen to!
