Default Blogging - Who's doing it and why?

Our good friend (and my SEO consultant) Libby, suggested I start a blog to help increase the traffic to our website and subsequently, raise our page rank in the search engines. So, after a lot of whining and complaining, I have started to blog. I'm not much of a writer but I'm giving it a try. So far, so good. I even started a gallery of photos and a Blogroll with other more famous regional blogs such as "Heather in Paradise", "Our Mexican Adventure" and "Luna Blue's Playazone".
So who else is trying their hand (or should I say fingers) at blogging? Why do you do it? If you know of any other good blogs that I should include on my Blogroll, let me know.

Thanks!! I'm just getting started but I rather enjoyed the entry today. Even Rob chuckled and he doesn't find me funny at all.

Very nice. In a former life, I worked for a fine wine distributer and importer, Lauber Imports. They sold out to Southern last year. I LOVED that job!!

Michele, your entry about Christmas really hit home with us. So true....so true.

I also laughed about the entry on M&M Blog about the dog named Lady. That's just too funny.

We do a little blog too for folks considering moving to Playa (link below).

We think it's awesome that so many of our friends have blogs. Not only do a lot of them have some great information, but it's wonderful to learn more about people's families and lives and to see the many different and often entertaining writing styles. Much better than sitcoms.

And Michele, maybe the experts say not to make your listings into blog entries, but the ones you have in there seem to work just fine, maybe just because of the way they're written. We're going to send a link to your blog over to our friend Carlos in San Francisco whose mom has been looking for some property. We think she'd like the property in Chemuyil especially. Keep up the good work!

Exactly!

Heck, around here you have to find your Realtor on bus benches and public transportation vehicles....I always think choosing a Realtor while light headedly choking on diesel fumes is a good choice....
