Default Incredible Story

Is it just me, or is the world getting crazier?
Woman sits on boyfriend's toilet for two years

My curiousity must know more!
Like, were they having sexual relations?
Where did the boyfriend go to the bathroom?

WTF? That just doesn't add up at all.
Gross and disgusting are the two words that come to mind.
Sick is the other.

The world of behind closed doors mental illness isn't necessarily getting crazier; improved information dissemination is why we hear more of these stories.

The situation is especially sad because so much help is available today and mental illness is not nearly as taboo as it was say, 50 years ago. The BF needs as much assistance as the GF.

Yeah, when I read the story, one thought that crossed my mind was "That's awful, how tortured an existence. Geez, I've nothing to complain about."

How dare I? I've been though nothing like that, but have experienced some mild effects of stress enough to know that just when you think you have it together, things can go to crap quickly. There is some stuff that happened in extended family nearly 2 years ago that is having a vivid affect on people I love. My husband and I are doing what we can, but we are a couple of degrees removed. It's like watching a train wreck.

I hope this post isn't an ambiguous thread killer, but if it is, oh well. I just can't be in the grand stands saying, "Oh, will you look at that?"

That's true about mental illness, and stress.
I'm still working through the rough patch I had a few years ago.
Certainly there have been times when I didn't feel like seeing anybody, or didn't feel like leaving the house. But this particular story takes it to a riveting extreme.

It's really sad that this woman didn't have someone else besides her boyfriend to check in on her.

Stepping off my soapbox....I agree that the story is a riveting extreme and curiosity is natural. No need to be embarrassed. I was in a very intolerent mood yesterday.
