As Brian pointed out, the training of these firefighters in the proper use of proven technique, and the theory and characteristics of fires in this region with the construction practices/styles and materials used and the manner in which those might impact a fire, not only makes 10 well-trained firefighters more effective than 100 untrained, but also helps to assure a safer firefighting effort.
