Went to work at 7:00am, 2 co-workers in the hospital, did the work for 3.
Home for lunch to let the dogs out, put pork roast in oven at 5:00 and finished the 1st painting since I returned from Playa. The tan may be fading but the inspiration's still there!

Slim informed me that I might be headed to Pittsburgh around April 5th to get the mother-in-law ready to move to Texas. Might be my only chance to meet Loree!

I'm ready

I went and bought all my new kitchen cabinets today, and watched my nephew play hockey in a tourney.

I took my beautiful Painting to get it framed. Right now they are stretching it and I will pick it up on Tuesday. I liked a couple of frames they had but want to check out another place before i decide. Geez, custom framing is expensive.

I filled up a few more boxes with clothes and household goods to send to Salvation Army. I got about 5 big boxes and 3 medium boxes ready to go.
I gotta make room for the mother-in-law and needed to empty a closet for her. I can't believe I have 2 walk ins with just my stuff. Slim has 2 regular closets and will move some of his stuff into one of mine, and the other stuff into the office closet.

Looks like it will be the 1st or 2nd week of April that we will go get her.

I also did some cleaning out in the garage.

One thing I love about Dallas is White Rock Lake. It's smack in the middle and a huge gathering place for Joggers, walkers, bikers and families. We decided to take Sammy to the dog park today. Well it was closed and locked up yet many people and their dogs decided to climb over the fence anyways.

They have a large fenced in area for dogs over 30 lbs and one for the small dogs. Then there is an area for your dog to take a dip in the lake. Since the large dog area was still muddy and partially under water from the recent rains, the big dog people decided to use the small dog area. It was fun to watch. We didn't feel like climbing over the fence, and we usually follow the rules and the sign did say closed. So we took a walk. There were some huge fish in the shallow areas that were flopping out of the water. We didn't know if they were after the bugs or mating but they were big.

After our walk we decided to go to Kellers for a Hamburger. This place has been around for about 50 years and they still use car-hops. There were alot of people there today in their old restored cars. We saw a friend there in his old truck with his 3 ladies...well, I call them wolves. They are Alaskan Huskies and they are absolutely beautiful... and well-behaved. Sammy didn't like getting into the back of the truck with them, and I didn't blame him. To be sniffed by 3 huge dogs at once was a little much for him. Finally, he calmed down and relaxed. We stayed about an hour then decided to head home.

I think we have found something fun to do on Sunday afternoons with the dog.

We were up at 5:30a.m. and off to Grand Forks by 6:30 for my sons basketball tournament. Their first game was at 8 and if they won they played again at 10 but if they lost they played at noon. well, we played at noon so we had 3 hours to waste until that game. They played their second game and lets just say this tournament was a good learning experience for the boys. We headed back home just in time to get ready for the big Cub Scout PineWood Derby race. Payton's car took 4th place and he got best workmanship. Payton was pleased as peas with the outcome, Rob not so much

I woke up to a house of little 10 year olds turning on High School Musical at 7:45am...only after going to bed at 1:00am the previous night. Slumber parties are brutal for a mom!!! Today is clean-up!

Hmm.. Woke up late to a beautiful sunshiny day. I just piddled around the back yard, cleaning out beds and watching the dog chase and bark at the pool cleaner. He is so funny, everytime the cleaner climbs up the side walls, he runs towards it and barks..then the hose will squirt water at him and he turns tail and runs..still barking.

Slim just got home with take out from Razoo's. Yummy. He wants to watch basketball on the telly and I need to work on my new notebook I got to hold all the old family photos and genealogy. I may or may not go for a 2 mile walk later.

I woke up (Without a hangover! That's the benefit of starting drinking at 4pm. By 11pm, you're sober and hangover free!) and drove home, then had to drive 70 more miles to get to the cake bakers. We had a cake tasting today, Im excited! It's a pretty cake!! Then I went grocery shopping with about 12,000 other people and came home! Now Im just tired.
