Default What Did You Do Today?

I don't know about you guys, but it rained here all friggin day and is still raining thru the night.
I kept a weary eye on the pool. It was getting to the point of overflowing and worried about where all that water would go.
My bones ached, I felt tired and rundowned. My dog was very sleepy and insisted I lay down with him and take a nap. This after I knocked out a half of box of Girls Scout Cookies. (Samoans). I did manage to get 2 loads of laundry done.

What did ya'll do today?

Ooooooo....I love Samoans.

I walked to work before the heavens opened up.......slower than molasses at work so I left around 1:00 and picked up some HUGE hamburgers for Mikey and I for lunch.

Then .........off in the car (torrential downpour on the way:rolleyes) to get my hair done........crappy day to get my hair done.......I know.......but now the gray is gone.....so I'm happy.

Quick stop at Albertsons then onward home....cooked dinner and now...............eating.

Got up, had a shower, played with dogs. Went to work (damn it). Took off at lunch, went to the carwash and shampooed the muddy paw prints off the seats in my car. Went back to work (damn it). Spent the afternoon applying for jobs - hehe. Came home, let the dogs out, played with dogs (A-ROO!) then went to Costco to exchange a dog thing I bought there, had Vietnamese for supper, came home, watched a few episodes of M*A*S*H on dvd, ate some popcorn, played with dogs. Now I am cleaning up my office before heading out tomorrow to my folks (about 6 hrs away) for the Easter weekend.

No wonder I am tired....

I picked up winter tree debris: pine cones and twigs and branches from my yard, then dumped them back in our woods.

I did more planning for our April "Let's look at colleges!" roadtrip.

We had Stouffer's Chicken Enchiladas with rice, plus a nice green salad for dinner. Mmm.

Got up, got out of bed, dragged a comb across my head.

Oops someone else wrote that.

Went to work. Came home for lunch break. Sorted/trashed/shredded mail. Called accountant. Wolfed down brown rice & chicken for eats. Back to work. Hair appt. Home. Unusually late organization of tax docs. On In the Roo. I think I'm caught up to present tense.

Pathetic post. I need a Ferris Bueller's Day Off, soon.

I worked for my ol' boss today. It was my day off, btw working for him was easier than driving in this horrible weather. I'm over this rain.

It was a beautiful day today, and it is Spring Break here. Jorden was at a friend's house, so Kelsey and I decided to go check out the Buddhist Temple. We'd never been there before. It was absolutely beautiful and serene. The smell of incense in the air, the sound of the chimes and the chanting, it was a wonderful experience.

Here's some photos we were able to take, but we didn't take any of inside the temple:

yeah...somebody had a great day!

We have a buddist temple about 2 miles from us. I wonder if they will let me roam the grounds and take pics.? It looks so peaceful when I drive by it.

As usual Ginger, your pictures are beautiful!

Today I was on my schedule of doing Tuesday laundry, getting my husband off to work - and then - my husband's grandson was born! He was supposed to come on April 8th, then the doctor's said March 25th, and today the mom's blood pressure was too high and they took him via c-section tonight.

Fortunately - he is a big baby - birth weight of 8 lbs 7 oz at three weeks early. And now, we will have a newborn in the house for a few weeks. Very exciting!!

Thank goodness I did the laundry today

I think they would. They are very welcoming, and they gave Kelsey two big books about Buddhism, they are more than happy to spread the word of enlightenment. She is very interested in it, always has been. In fact, she's pretty much Asian at heart. She's always been quite interested in all things Asian, her room is full of all things Feng Shui, water fountains, sand/rock gardens, bonzai plants, incense, japanese caligraphy, and she's wayyy into Japanese and Asian anime.

As always, beautiful pictures, Ginger. You captured some very nice rich colors. The gold statues are amazing.

Installed new drain lines in the second bath, even with PVC not too much fun since I'm working below the floor - it's a second floor condo. Putting in a new sink has turned into a total makeover, looks like new floor tile in the mix now. Time to pick some mint...

Played hookie from work....Marissa had her Easter party at school....had to have the egg hunt inside though cause it was raining. Then her class sang a bunch of spring songs....and than they had their snacks.

After school my mom and us went to lunch...Marissa's choice...Bob Evans Restaurant ....she loves getting breakfast for lunch!

Back home to do some laundry and stuff I normally put off til the weekend.

Now I am ready for a glass of wine and to chill on the couch in front of the tv....I took a few pics today and will post some later.

A beautiful day today. I went shopping at Home Depot and Leslies pools for chlorine since the pool man was coming today. Also stopped to pick up a couple of thick Ribeyes.
Went to water aerobics at 6 pm, then home to throw the steaks on the grill.

Slim informed me that I might be headed to Pittsburgh around April 5th to get the mother-in-law ready to move to Texas. Might be my only chance to meet Loree!
