Pig Roast and Zoom's Birthday at the Vineyard
Unfortunately Michael had to work on his birthday. It was the first event for the winery that kicks off the season....The Blessing of the Vineyard and Pig Roast. Even though they forcasted rain for the day...it turned out to be a sunny, pleasant afternoon...the priest did the blessing of the vines and then we all listened to some great live classic rock music while Michael poured glass after glass of wine...and oh the pork was delicious.
 Kathy (Alwaysmissinpdc) drove down from Delware and spent the afternoon with us. The kids played in the vineyard most of the afternoon. It was very relaxing and a great way to spend a Saturday.  The pig!!   Kathy doing some tasting.  "Blind Owl"....great band! These guys played for two hours straight without taking a break!  Michael gave Kathy a tour of the vineyard and barrel and bottling rooms. Marissa in the barrel room.    Thanks Kathy for spending the day with us. Even though he had to work, Michael's birthday turned out to be a great one!

From Saturday. We had a welcome home/birthday/welcome to the family party. My son came home from Afghanmanland a couple of weeks ago (as I previosuly posted) well he got married last Monday(just a small ceremony so they can start working a joint assignement with the Air Force. Big ceremony is in August). We also celebrated both boys Birthdays...so it was a hectic weekend. Some pics from the party:

okay where do I start....
Zoom looks like a wonderful birthday celebration....although the pig creeps me out a bit....I dont like things I eat to still have there heads  Is marissa your daughter? She is beautiful girl! Horizon.....congrats to your son and new daughter!!! You must be so thrilled to have him back. You have a great looking family!
