I think it's way cool. Elephants are so intelligent. But I always hate to see wild animals in captivity and worried that this elephant was being exploited.

I was happy to learn that the Asian Elephant Art & Conservation Project, a non-profit organization, actually promotes this and uses funds raised from the sale of elephant paintings for elephant conservation efforts. So cool!

I have seen stories on elephants that paint but I have never seen one actually draw a picture. Usually, they just brush the paint on in all colors..kinda like I would.

They were busting this on the new this morning.....

Something about not seeing the whole elephant.

But IF it is true, it is freaking amazing.

After watching the vid repeatedly...I'd have to say it's genuine... ALL the elephants are painting, for the Live crowd....

what amazed me was how they either met edges, or retraced...precisely lines already there, too make them mor pronounced or darker......very..slow...deliberate motions.....you can almost "See or feel" them thinking.

that was part of the article, I'll see if I can find it. The elephant would drop the brush if he needed more paint or wanted to change color!. The guy would load up the brush and stick it in the elephants trunk.

The flower was my favorite part! It is understandable how people would question it.

I would still like to see the whole elephant.

The environment doesn't change from the pan in...and occasional pan outs. Yeah...photoshop...blah..blah... Maybe. But from what I read...this is an everyday event that live crowds watch there in Thailand.
