The Sea Lions were really a surprise we didnt know we'd get to swim with them too. Waiting for the Bus Various Pix from Dolphin Discovery ![]() Baby Manatee we snorkeled with ![]() ![]() ![]() We ate breakfast at Mundaca. It was very good. We were at Dolphin Discovery from 12:00 to about 4:00. It was a long day. Then we came back to the hotel and had snacks at the pool bar because we didnt eat lunch while we were at DD. Went back to the room then out again for MoMoNoHana for dinner. It was way better than last year. Then we went to the gift shop and got some cool T-Shirts in the 4 for $20 section. We sat around at Casino Night which was pretty lame but Richie had fun playing black jack. It was also noisey. Then we went to Sweet & Coffee for dessert #2 =). Now we are back in the room to sleep and rest our sun burned bodies. People playing Casino Games with Fake Money Oh yeah...we saw "Kitty" Our black and white kitty from last year. Day 4 - June 18, 2008
Well today was a hotel day. We went to MoMoNoHana for breakfast. Then we went to the indoor pool. Richie and I got really bored there because Mom and Dad were afraid of the sun...so we went to the North Pool. It was a lot more fun. We had lunch at El Greco. We then went back to our room and changed and went to the North Lobby to play a game of Rummy. Then we were so tired we decided to take naps. We got ready and went to La Trattoria for dinner. Then to the awesome fire show. Awesome! We had a cute little cake in our room for our 3rd anniversary. Mom and Dad got one too, for theirs, but there was ants all over it before they got to eat it. =( Goodnight! |

Love your report and pics.
We stayed there when it was only 6 months old. The place was pretty empty. They were still building the Northern section. Out of all the AI's we had been to, they had the best food. We also enjoyed the free tour they gave us to Isla Mujera....Do they still include free tours in the package? |

Yes, my parents LOVED the trip. The are going to try to return with us next July, but it depends on the cost. Not sure if they can afford it. Same with us, but so far we are planning on returning for another 2 weeks...my parents would only stay for 1 week though.
As to if the tours are included....yes. And there are several of them to all different places like Chichen Itza, Tulum, Coba, Isla Muerjes, Wet N Wild, etc. Plus they also are running a BOGO 1/2 price sale on Dolphin Swims. They have so many good tours and offers its great...its part of the reason we stay there. |

Day 5 - June 19, 2008
Today we went to Xcaret. It rained a little today but luckily it was before and after Xcaret. We had breakfast at MoMoNoHana then went to Xcaret. It was HOT. But we got to see baby sea turtles and lots of cool things. The tickets were $62.10 each which we bought online and were 10% off. We had lunch at a place in Xcaret which was $48 plus tip. It was expensive for Hot Dogs and Hamburgers. Then we went back to the hotel and took a nap. We ate dinner at Ventanas which was very good. We played cards in the South Lobby then we went to Sweet & Coffee. Now we're in the room watching TV. Off to bed soon. Hotel day again tomorrow....Also the Kitchen Tour. =) Nite! |

Day 6 - June 20,08
Today was a hotel day. We went to El Greco for breakfast then swam at the North Pool most of the afternoon. We has lunch at Mundaca and it was horrible because there was a Loreal convention there with 750 some people. We went from 30% occupancy to 72% occupancy. Then we got ready and went on the Kitchen Tour. It was totally awesome. We learned so much about ASP. They told us about food prep, food inspection, cleaning dishes, the phone room, the pastry room, security, etc. It was very informative and I really recommend it to anyone who stays at ASP or to anyone who stays else where that offers something like it. It took approx 2 hours out of the evening, but it was well worth it. You really appreciate what they do and the food you eat after you've done it. And you get to keep the Apron! After the kitchen tour we went to La Huerta for dinner. Great ravioli Then we went to the Circus Show which was really stupid. Ive heard people compare it to Circus Du Soleil...Umm not quite. LOL. Ive seen La Noba 4 times and this doesnt come anywhere close. They tried though, so I guess thats good...but not even close. Then we went to Sweet & Coffee which seems to be coming our daily ritual. Now its time for bed...tomorrow we're off to Playa Del Carmen. |

Day 7- June 21, 2008
Today we got up and had MoMoNoHana for breakfast. We took a taxi to Playa Del Carmen and went shopping there. It was $17 each way. We were there all day long. I got my picture taken with a cute monkey. It was so adorable. I felt bad for it though...There was a different type of monkey there that jumped out of its cage and right on to Richie's crotch! lol. It was so funny, but then it hid in his arms like it was afraid, and the woman yelled right in its face "PACOOOO!" Poor thing. For lunch we decided to have Burger King. I love my fast food and had to see if it tasted the same in another country. haha. Yeah...it did, but then I got so nervous about getting sick because Ive heard so many times that people get sick when they eat food off the resort, that I actually started not to feel well....but then I begin to wonder how people who live there do it, they have to eat some where...*shrug* lol. Came back to the resort around 6:30pm. Went to feed kitty while Richie took a shower. Then got ready for dinner at Mundaca. After that we played cards and did shots until Midnight. Our Favorite Little Waitress - Lorena Mom and Dad's last full day is tomorrow. =( Time for bed...its almost 2am. |

Not a real beach... They blew a hole in the rock (Iron shore) and made a lagoon with a small sandy beach. It's kinda cool but not a resort you can just take off and walk down the beach.
Jamacamenutts... Don't worry about the food in town.. It's safe. Just make sure any water you drink is bottles. Other drinks and ice are made with purified water. The only time I got an upset tummy was at an AI. |
