Default Christmas by the Bay

We just got back from 10 days in the San Francisco Bay Area. We saw family, did some Christmas shopping, ate way too much and had a lot of fun.

San Francisco, or "The City" as locals call it, is all decked out for the holidays. The stores and buildings are all decorated in lights, the city has decorations everywhere, and it was freeze your butt off cold (not Canada cold, not South Dakota cold, not even Chicago cold...but for us it was freezing!!).

But that didn't keep us from going to the theater, hiking in the woods, going to a book reading, and watching hundreds of crazed, inebrieted Santas running through the streets. We set it all out in our blog, and if you're interested, you can read more here.

Sounds like a great time!

We really enjoyed San Francisco when we were there 2 years ago. Unfortunately we only had one day in San Fran and would have liked to have stayed longer. Hopefully we can get back again soon and if gas prices stay the way they are, it will maybe be this summer!

Aww, cool. Nice to hear that you had a great time, guys.

Btw, your photo on the left? I think I have that same cable car hanging in my Christmas tree right now. Well, a mimi version of it. My girlfriend Janet, who lives in Half Moon Bay, sent it to me a few years ago when she first moved to Redwood City. It's one of my favorite Christmas tree ornaments.

I will read you blog later on this evening, as a treat to myself. xo
