We really had a good time. I think because we are spoiled living here, I don't get that excited anymore about trips to the tropics. A place has to have more draw for me than just sun, beaches and cold beer. After all we have that right here at home. Lucky! We really liked the laid back vibe and the whole look of the place. The residents seem to be very conscious of their coastline which while lined with hotels and resorts is also very lush and green. When they lose palms in a storm, they put them back. What a concept. There is lots of anti-erosion vegetation carefully maintained to protect the shoreline. What a concept. I'm certain that once the boom of development hits (like it has in Playa) some of this will change. We are looking forward to our next trip there with the kiddos.

Michele, Great blogging indeed and it sure does bring back some memories!
San Pedro is definitely NOT for everyone but when the lisland vibe hits, it hits hard. We came so close to either building or buying before we bought in Playa and we are still keeping that option open. We have to chat face to face about properties in Playa and whatever ya got cookin down Belizean way.
Thanks again

Anytime! We are actually going to be representing some projects in Belize as well so we'll be back for more research and fact finding in about a month. I am looking forward to meeting the man behind the art!!
