Default A Day at Cenote Azul with Tacogirl and Friends

A few weeks ago, new friend and fellow blogger Laurie (Tacogirl) gave me the heads up that she and Paul (Tacoboy) would be making the journey from Ambergris Caye, Belize to Playa del Carmen to spend some time with her family vacationing in the area. Having had such a wonderful time on Ambergris, I wanted to make sure to show them a good time and be a good host in my adopted home town. I decided to treat them to a uniquely Yucatecan experience: a day at a local cenote. Click here for some pictures from our lazy day on the Riviera Maya.

I cannot see your pictures...

I'll try to look on my computer at home later. Maybe it's a setting I have on my laptop.

Sounds like a great day though. And so nice of you to show them around!!

Hi Vanessa! You can see all of Michele's photos in her photo album which she links to at the bottom of her blog entry.

Thanks for sharing, Michele! I was hoping to take the family to a cenote this past week, but it never worked out. Now that our vacation with the family is over, we need our own vacation to recover! Maybe we'll take a nice relaxing day at Cenote Azul. Haven't been to that one yet.

I can't see them either. I also can't get them to show up on your blog, Michele.

Yes, the photos are not showing up on the blog. I emailed Mchele with a suggestion on how to fix it. In the meantime, you can view all her photos in her Picasa photo album which she links to at the end of her blog entry.

Thanks Libby! I'm working on it but not with much success. Does anyone have any experience using Picasa? I can see the photos clear as day but you all cannot. Hmmmm?

Azul looks lovely..... I might put it on my list, Im looking for a lil more secluded ones :P

I did Kantun chi last time, the outside cenote's weren't great. The cavern though was quite incredible. Best of all...I had the whole place to myself all afternoon

Any other good ones more secluded or off the beaten (Crowded) path??

I hope we hear from some of the forum cenote fanatics. My kids are excited about checking out some more! I have been told that Cenote Azul is the best for kids but we want to see more!!

I did Cenote Manatee a few years ago. Very nice but all those mangroves kind of creeped me out. Looked like a nice alligator habitat to me.
Certainly the location is excellent!!
