Thanks everyone.

Here are more food pics.

We have had one of our best meal at Antica, located in the north end of La Quinta Avenida. This is the Italian restaurant that came highly recommended by Tony & Cheri and we couldn't wait to try it out. Folks, Antica did not disappointed. We had the special which was spaghetti (al dente, thank you very much) prepared with olive oil, grape tomatoes, garlic, basil and clams. Bruno set the pan on our table and we dug in! Muy bueno! Oh...we also shared a huge and I mean huge Caprese salad made with sliced boccocini, tomatoes, arugula with some rustic bread. That alone could have been a meal in itself! Bruno is the very proud owner and he aims to please.

Who can resist lunch at La Tarraya! Our favorite laid back beach restaurant with the best ceviche in town and a great fish burger for a measly 25 pesos.

Thanks for sharing those awesome pictures - especially love the sea gulls. The food looks amazing and makes me wish we were there. The ceviche is sooo good. Patiently for waiting for the next installment.

Miss you too. ((hugs))

BUT, listen to this ...I may be back on the 28th !! My brother had us over for dinner last night and offered to buy me a trip to Playa . They really really want me to go with them. All I would need is spending money. I am so humbled by this. He is waiting for my phone call, as we speak, to give him the go ahead to make travel arrangements for me.

Should I...or shouldn't I? It seems all so frivolous and I am having a tough time deciding.

We walked by your hotel a few times and I was also looking for you. I thought that I would have been able to spot you from pics I have seen of you but you weren't there. Maybe next time?

Hope that all is well with you guys.

More food/restaurant related pics.

Casa Mediterranea

I would give my right arm for their Calamari Fritti right now.

Grilled Fish Fillet...delicioius!

Ricotta & Spinach Ravioli in a butter sauce...yum

Filet Mignon...very tender.

We love this restaurant! It is located on 5th Avenue in El Jardin de Marietta, the Artists courtyard.

Aww...thanks Sunbaby. I feel a little guilty though.
I'm sure that this feeling will disappear quickly once I get to Playa.

Lunch at Carboncitos.

We bought a T-shirt from Alex awhile back that says..."Eat It Like You Mean It", and so we did.

Love their Caldo de Pollo!

The Al Pastor Nachos were very good too!

I know...it doesn't compare in size to the hunk of meat from El Fogon but it was tasty.

Carboncitos.

Fourteen of us had dinner at Jaguar Restaurant one evening. The food was very good and so was the service...BUT when we were presented with the bill, all it showed was a total amount due. They didn't write the cost of each food/drink item ordered. WTF...?! I thought that it was very unusual and wanted to confront the waiter about it but hubby said to let it go as most people in our group had already paid and were ready to leave. I asked the waiter if the propina was included and he said 'no'. I think that we got fooled. It really bothered me and I wanted to go back the next day to talk to management about it but I didn't. I will not go back because of this!

This is our friend Jean-Pierre helping with a Mayan Coffee. I love this man!

Dinner with Playa friends.

Ok...I didn't take a pic of our food but let me tell you that the Prime Rib dinner at Manne's was fantastic!! It was the best piece of meat that we have ever eaten in Playa! Right Popeye?
Susie is so funny...she arrived at our table with her camera to take a pic of us but she wanted to know first 'who was the asshole () in our group because, she said, there is always one in every group'.:banana. Bry promised her that he would be good.

Coccinelle,Bryne,Phyllis,Popeye,Danielle & Jacques.

Dinner at La Pumarola with T & C. (xoxo)
