We Had Such a Great Time!
Hi Everyone!
I will try not to bore you with too many details but let me tell you that this trip was one of the best so far. We've always had wonderful times in Playa but what made this one different is that we were vacationing with a bunch of very dear friends. I was a little worried at first that personalities might clash but we are all such an easy going, fun loving bunch. All of us have always had respect for one another and have always accepted each other for who we are.  We are all different, naturally, which makes it quite interesting and entertaining to say the least. Would I do it all over again? You betcha! ((I wanted to do a slideshow with Photobucket as I have so many pics and thought that this would be fun. However, I noticed that when I clicked on the slideshow pic in this post, that I was automatically directed to my Photobucket account which has personal family photos for the whole world to see...I then decided that it was not such a good idea.)) I will do this in segments, the first one being our hotel. Playa Palms.        We loved staying beachfront for the first time.

OK... Here are some pics of the beach in front of Playa Palms, the north end beach at Zubul etc...
I've always wanted to do a video with music but i don't know how. I need to buy 'Mac for Dummies'. Just to give this a little flavour, click on Youtube window below while you scroll through these beach photos. I know...quite a lame way to go about it but what can I say. Before I begin, i would just like to say that this song is very meaninful to us. When I was pregnant with our first child (Matthew), my sister bought us concert tickets to see Joe Cocker in Calgary, 25 years ago. Joe sang this song then and this is the song that we also chose to mark our 25th wedding anniversary last year. I don't know why but when I am in Playa, looking out at the sea and the horizon, I am always taken back in time, thinking of our soon to be born son, and this beautiful song comes to mind, every time. We all know how good the food is in Playa, right? Here are some pics to whet your appetite.
La Cueva del Chango's fruit, granola & yogurt bowl.  El Fogon on Constituyentes. Can you believe the size of this hunk of meat?! Yowza! Dinner consisted of 3 tacos al pastor with all the trimmings, one huge bowl of bean soup that we shared and 2 Cokes. All of this for 96 pesos!      Hope that you enjoy these. I will continue later on when I get back.
