I could just be losing it. I thought in the video at bad boys you had a shirt on with purple colours? Maybe silver too? Anyway I mentioned in a thread earlier that you looked really nice in it.

I like this picture too. I have known Antonio or Tony for about four years. He is a very nice man. He used to work at the Playa Maya. He is a cutie! Oh and a great waiter as well.

It was Blue but under the lights it could look purple. Thanks for the compliment. My memory is starting to be a puzzle to me. I should start a journal but I keep forgetting to buy one.

Yep, he is a great guy. He even followed the directions I gave him. "make sure those shrimp are nice and cold, and I can wait till they are ready". Warm shrimp cocktails just don't taste as good so it was worth the wait.

Great trip report. And I guess the fact that you had problems with putting nights and days to the photos just shows that it was a great vacation- I always lose track of which day it is when it is a good one, too.

The year I met Antonio, I was staying at the Playa Maya. He was so danged serious and he hardly smiled, but he worked his butt off to provide the best service possible. Anyway, one day, a couple who I had met and I were drinking beer all afternoon. They left to go to dinner and I stayed behind to settle the tab. I totally had miscalculated what I was going to give him which should have been around nine dollars. I really appreciated his honesty and gave him a big tip anyway. Even then, he insisted that it was too much, but I made him take it. It was the least I could do because he was so honest. After that, he and I got along very well. He would put beers in a certain section of the cooler in the bar so they would get extra cold and then bring them out to us.

Everytime I go to Playa, I go look him up. Dave and I think he is the best.

God, I know about warm shrimp in a shrimp cocktail...I always ask them to check to see how cold the shrimp are and I will wait until they are chilled just right.

I am pretty sure they cook the shrimp as needed. I just ask them to Ice them down and bring it to me when it's good and cold. Of course, I order it in advance so I don't get ravenous and have to wait.
