At the State Park?
Too bad you're not coming when everything is green and lush. Still brown and ugly here. I assume you are coming for a wine seminar. I am interested to hear what you think.

Well today was Sunday we slept in because it was a pretty cloudy morning…….When we did start moving we figured today would be a good day to do some souvinour shopping .

We saw this cool electric Police Car on 5th getting a charge

We bought assorted jewelry, t-shirts, candies and medications for everyone back home.

Monica posed for a pic on the Deseo steps ……we have a series of these now from every visit.

the metal man…..I remember we saw him last night walking home but I thought he was an alcohol induced illusion

at one store I spotted these very cool NFL ponchos went inside I think they had every team but the Ravens…..the clerk came to help look took a few minutes to explain to him what a Raven was ….but when I flapped my arms and made a face like an angry bird and gave a few cawls I think he got it……. He said come with me and he walked out into the middle of 5th and he made a call on his cell….I thought this call must have been to a good friend of his whom he had not seen in a while because it was taking awhile……Monica gave me the lets go look…..but then I seen him flap one arm like a bird while talking on the phone and knew we were getting somewhere……He hung up the phone looked at me and said over here ……he had been on the phone with the shop directly across the street…..and right up in front was the poncho I wanted……did a little price talking and it was mine

Me modeling the Poncho back at the room

While shopping we did run into Tammy and David so we took a break at Bourbon Street for some tasty Mojitos ………it was still overcast……Tammy and David went back to their shopping and Monica and I wondered up to Mikey and Erica’s room for a visit …..they joined us for the walked back up 5th… we stopped at PG’s for some refreshments and then back to the Luna Blue Bar for some more….

I was in the mood for a burger so Monica and I went to this place right around the corner….on fifth and Iam guessing about 24th right where the Mystic Bar was……..it was called Lomitos carnes ol carbon

service was great they even pulled the chair out for you…..it was funny to because these guys had learned English with a Brooklyn accent….."Sure Lady yous can git cheese on dat” this place was a lot of fun but the food was the star

The grill

My Burger

Monica’s Steak sandwhich…..she gave me a bite I'm getting it next time fresh bread, with grilled peppers and onion, good stuff

then we made our way down to the Beer Bucket …..some night shots on the way

at the Beer Bucket we had to say our goodbyes to David and Tammy they were leaving early tomorrow morning …..then Monica cried and I finished my beer

next up Monday……Monday was going to be a special day…..I can’t wait to tell you guys about what we did

Michael,
The NFL ponchos are super cool ~ but it always felt too hot for me to buy one while ~ then wished I did during football season. The steps at Deseo amazed me the first time I saw them....and knew not to walk up/down with a buzz!

Thanks again everyone for the kind comments....we still have one more day to go but I thought I would put up a few random shots taken of our room at the Luna Blue. We had room #6...a kitchen suite...it is our favorite style room at the Blue.

A new nice touch was full length mirror hanging outside the bathroom door....and this cool quote on the wall.

The towel art that greeted us everyday was always beautiful.

Luna Blue has in so many ways truly become our "home away from home"....thanks to Tony & Cheri for everything...you guys rock!

This last picture of Michael is one of my favorite from the week...it just says "chill" and that's what we did all week...

Gonna get this done

Tony and Cheri said they felt really bad about the Catamaya trip being cancelled and asked us if instead of a refund ….that if it was possible to squeeze us on another trip would we be up for it….and we would probably find out at a moments notice……well we got the call and we were on for Monday……we loaded into Tony and Cheri’s van and were on our way to P A…….We knew this was not going to be the same as the trip we had planned with everyone but we were still excited …..after some parking issues we were on board and getting drinks at the bar

The bartender preparing another round of shots
