Thank you. We'll be heading back in July and hope to come back with more photos and video. Although, I think I'll have to take a journal, this time, to jot things down as the days go by. Somehow things tend to blend together when I try and put a report together. Lose a day.....etc. Our schedule is already filling up with fun things to do and people to meet so I hope it will make an interesting read for you guys to read.

Thanks to LTS for bumping this one back up. Thoroughly enjoyed reading about you and Michael's trip, Erica. Awesome pics as usual from Michael. You two make good looking couple.

Thank you! I'm aiming for a McDonald's free trip in July! I keep telling Michael that he needs to push me into the pool with a camera so I can get up to speed for the whale shark thing. I'm a tad terrified of the whole thing......hope I can deliver.

YES, please jot stuff down...I bought a tiny note pad at the $1 store and carried it in my purse for quick jotting. It really helped! Where are you going to stay this time??? I forgot to tell you guys, we did eat at the surfboard place in Punta Allen that you suggested- loved it. Out of all things to order....we ate hamburgers- very good! They were out of everything else!! I guess thats what you get in a remote place!

Wow! I can't believe they were out of seafood. Glad to hear the hamburgers were good. Did they finish the deck?

We are staying at Pension San Juan hotel again. Love that little place. Maybe the same guy will be "parked" in front of the bar across the street again.........yelling "Hey, come on in! Wanna get drunk?" I swear he had a drink for everyone who passed on by.....cuz he often looked a little durnk.

I'm going to have to stock up on cargo shorts or something.....because I refuse to haul a purse around.....Good idea about taking a little notepad.....I hadn't thought that far.....was just thinking of jotting things down when we'd return to the hotel at night....but by then.......I'm sure I would forget something that happened during the day. And......with the crew that will be down there when we are.......I'll have to be sure to get some sort of waiver signed by them so they don't sue me when I do a "Tell All.....National Enquire" style report when we return. With photos provided by Mikey to back up my words...........Word.

Wow.....To bad they were out of almost everything......We did not have that issue even though a good burger would have been just fine with me......We are going to head down there again.......And great idea about the notepad...We will for sure pick one up for this trip......

Erica, yes we'll be headed down this Tuesday, June 2. We'll be in the area, although not necessarily in Playa, most of the month of June. This year, I'm going to try to take photos and do a trip report, but I doubt it'll measure up to what y'all do- y'all set the bar too high for us amateurs!

Dang! Almost a whole month?! Please DO take photos.....lots of them. More than you think you will need. And........I can't speak for everyone......but pics of food are always great to check out.......they either bring back memories of what we enjoyed......or prompts us to put "it" on our list to eat when we return to Playa.

The deck in PA appeared finished....from what you say. Yes, weird about it being a fishing village w/ no seafood, but the burger hit the spot- acutally I would recommend it if you return. I wanted to stay at PSJ- the prices are great, but they never returned my emails...looks like a nice place and location.
I know what you mean about a purse. I carry one with long straps to sling across my chest for travelling, but if you dont want to deal w/ that one idea is to stick the notepad in the camera case (if it is big enough and there is room to spare). The notepad we got was 3x5. Another idea is to carry a mini click pen to save room. Cant wait for the photos and the report!

A whole month.......I am so jealous.......I hope you guiys have a great time......And take alot of pics and video of course........And I know the trip report and pics will be awesome.......Just remember If you stay in a place where you crank the AC down to keep your cameras in a ziplock bag......Dont want any condensation messing them up......Also Beth & Scott had mentioned a small notepad to jot things down on......Have always meant to do that but never have.......Anywho Gods speed and safe travels......Will you be taking a laptop or will you be out of touch the whole trip?

Hey- thanks for the advice about the camera equipment, I had never thought of that. I'll be checking in during the duration of the trip. I work on the Internet, so I'm taking my laptop and I use Internet cafes frequently. Hopefully, I'll get to post a few photos every couple of days.
