Default Not quite a trip report
Wanted to share some pictures from our family trip to Playa Del Carmen from March 13-20. Stayed at the Playa Palms Hotel and absolutely LOVED it. Plan on a return trip next year. Met some incredible people from this forum, as well as some very interesting locals while we were there. The ventured outside of Playa once by taking the Colectivo to Akumal and snorkeling in Akumal Bay. Thanks to all that post information about activities such as this. It allowed our family to make it a fun affordable day! The funnest day we had down there, although that is slightly difficult to rate as they were all great! The location of the hotel was a short walking distance to everything in Playa. The beaches were amazing as usual. Thanks to Annette, I was able to experience more of Playa outside the AI. Hope you enjoy the slideshow. The end includes some at home photos of our little guy because he was on our mind every day. He had a terrific time bonding with Grandma though! Next year he will be accompanying us.

This is Derek actually, I am on night shifts and Nette asked me to do this. I have never done a slideshow before but seems to have turned out ok.

Thank you. Had to get my own account as it felt silly posting with my wife's picture. I know she want's to go in July, but summer is our at home travel/camp fun. Works well with my 7 on 7 off schedule. We just booked a trip to San Francisco to go to the Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival to see Rodrigo y Gabriela. Can't wait for summer.

I always enjoyed your links and wanted to try and emulate. Bryson is getting huge that's for sure. He just turned 2 Feb. 28th and already weighs 38 lbs. Nette constantly needs neck rubs from getting him in and out of the truck lol. When is your return trip to Playa?

Have to admit that your skills in the artistic expression of Playa through slideshows and music was what I was shooting for. Much more fun for me to do, and it adds some personal flavor to it with background music. Your recent slideshow is awesome!
