Casa De Velas (House of Sails) is a three bedroom villa located on the Riviera Maya. This villa is one of six that make up the Villas of Sian-Ka’an in Playacar Phase II, the exclusive gated resort community of Playa del Carmen. The six villas share a very large pool and palapa area with bathroom that is perfect for parties. Enjoy sitting on the villa’s terrace overlooking the 6th tee of the Robert Von Hagge designed golf
course, widely recognized as one of the top golf courses in the world. This 7202 yard, par 72 layout is as beautiful to look at as it is exciting to play.
Amid a tropical Caribbean climate, spectacular natural beauty and Mayan culture, Casa De Velas inspires relaxation, tranquility, and a feast for the senses. The large living room has seating for 8 and a built-in entertainment center with satellite tv and a home theater system for enjoying your favorite DVD’s, CD’s, or VCR tapes. There is also free wireless internet. The fully equipped kitchen awaits the amateur chef or ask us about hiring a cook for your stay. Enjoy your meals at the kitchen dining table, counter bar stools, or at the terrace table overlooking the pool. The three bedrooms all have private bathrooms with shower and the master bath consists of a large tub and separate shower. Each bedroom has its own terrace. The Casa is fully air conditioned with individual room controls.
As a guest of Casa De Velas, you may use the Playacar VIP card that
entitles you to receive discounts at the Reef Club Playacar, a
beachfront resort. There is no charge for use of the beach, lounge
chairs, or pool, however, for $40 for adults and $20 for children
(between the hours of 9am-6pm or 6pm-2am), you can enjoy all-
inclusive privileges including unlimited meals, snacks, beverages,
and alcoholic drinks plus use of the on-site gym and all non-motor
sports activities. There is also a kid’s area which has adult
supervision. (PLEASE NOTE: The Reef Club has the right to deny
access to rental guests if they have met their maximum occupany on
any given day).

3 Night Minimum. Based on Occupancy of 6 Persons. ($10.00 per day
per person over occupancy of 6). Rates are in $US and subject to
change without notice. Prices DO NOT include 14% IVA tax.
Reservations require a 50% deposit within 7 days of booking for
confirmation. The balance of rental plus security deposit ($500 US)
must be received 31 days prior to the arrival date. Holiday rentals
(Christmas, New Years, and Easter) require a 7 day minimum
stay.

Check in/Check out: Check in is after 3:00 p.m and check out is before 10:00 a.m.
House Rules: You are responsible for the property at all times during your visit. It
is your responsibility to make sure all doors and windows are secure and locked before leaving
the unit, even if it is for just a quick stroll down the street. These few extra steps will
ensure the security of your belongings. Exceeding the maximum amount of people allowed by the
agreement may result in an eviction at the property managers own discretion.
Maintenance: It is the responsibility of the property management company to make sure
all appliances and utilities are in good operable condition. However, sometimes mistakes do
happen and the need for maintenance is necessary. The property manager is available 24 hours a
day and will try his/her best to correct the problem as soon as possible.
Lockbox, Safe and Keys: Some of our units are equipped with a lock box installed next
to the front door. Please do not remove the key from it’s chain and put the top part back on
after you use it.
Changing the lock on the front door or a safe if so equipped costs money. The loss of either
the key or the top part of the lock box will result in a $75.00 charge.
Maid Service: Maid Service is available during your stay for an additional charge.

Reservations and Payments: A 5% service charge will be added to the rental rates.
A 50% payment of the total rental amount is required within 7 days after reserving your unit
for confirmation. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of your reservation. The
balance must be paid 30 days prior to the arrival date.
The total rental amount is due for reservations made within 30 days of the arrival date.
If cancellation of the reservation becomes necessary then a refund is issued according to the
guidelines and limitations outlined below:-
75% of the amount will be refunded if cancellation occurs 90 days prior to the arrival
date.
50% of the amount will be refunded if cancellation occurs 61 – 90 days prior to the arrival
date.
25% of the amount will be refunded if cancellation occurs 31-60 days prior to the arrival
date.
No Refunds if cancellation occurs less than 30 days prior to the arrival
date.
