I love this place! In addition to the caldo that Sherry mentioned, the salbutes are great too!

This is another out of the way place (at least for tourists) but its another great place for a simple Mexican dinner. Local, local, local food! Knowing a little Spanish or a pocket dictionary would be helpful, it is all Spanish speaking. Some favorites are the Tostadas, empanadas, tamales and the chicken soup - called caldo. They also have panuchos, tortas, fruit waters, orchata and a few other items. It is super cheap! It is always busy which is another good sign. You can take a taxi and it is not a problem to catch one to go back into town. Its run by a group of Mexican women that start cooking early in the day to be ready to open at 7. They are open from 7pm to about midnight. They are closed Monday usually.
