The original HC Carnes de Monterrey (formerly on Calle 1 Sur) has moved to this location on Constituyentes. The food is just as good as ever. Arrachera dishes are served with your choice of potato or onion, half an avocado, jalapeno pepper, salsas and tortillas -- all the makings of a stellar taco.

You'll have a choice of the nacional or internacional plates (paquetes). We recommend the nacional.

Melt in your mouth arrachera! Great stuff! If you are on vacation or you live here you need to get some. We pick up a kilo of chicken and a kilo of arrachera for our family of 4 to have at the house and eat off of for a few days. Grab some veggies and you can make fajitas at home when you want. Sherry is right that both the national and international are good but we love the national the best. Eat in or take it home. Either way you will want more.

Incredible local spot, out of the tourist path. It is nothing special as far as ambiance. But you with not even notice the plastic table and chairs or the smoke coming from the grill once you get your food on the table! It is well worth the trip. Your goal is to eat Arrechera!!! There is national and international Arrechera - Both are very nice. Feel free to order off the menu BUT what I recommend for 2 people is 1/2 kilo of national arrechera meat with your choice of a baked onion, or baked potato along with salsa, crema, avacado, lime and fresh tortillas. This supplies your table with the ingredients to make the best tacos ever! The place is always full of people. It is also the place you can buy meat for a BBQ at home. It is a butcher shop and restaurant. Just fantastic! After 6 years here, it has always been consistently great food and is my favorite place in town. They are open around 11 am and close at 7pm!
