La Cueva del Chango (The Monkey Cave) is a Playa breakfast institution. Start your morning with a fresh fruit smoothie and a traditional Mexican egg dish, empanadas, fruit and granola, or crepes.

Lunch favorites include the Aztec soup, Mexican salad and vegetarian sandwich. The restaurant is now open for dinner where the focus is on contemporary Mexican cuisine.

Many dishes are served with their must-try homemade, stone-ground tortillas. Before you leave, make sure to check out one of Playa's most unique bathrooms.

This place is really unique, a man made cave with a tree growing up the middle. Everything is very fresh, and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. My favorite place for breakfast or brunch.
