Our original plan was to base out of Playa del Carmen and seeing as many Mayan ruins as possible. After 2 noisy days in Playa (street carnival) we wanted a change. We were lucky to have found a really good travel agent, Mike Kummer, the owner of Solatino Travel agency on 5th Ave in Playa del Carmen. It didn't take Mike long to figure out what type of hotel we'd like and he found us a gem along the hotel zone in Tulum. He contacted the hotel and got us reservations for the next day. Everything went smoothly and we enjoyed our stay. Mike's suggestions on what sights to see were perfect especially his suggestion to visit Coba and to spend a day at Xcaret. The evening show was fabulous and not to be missed. I'm not sure our vacation would have gone nearly as well if not for Mike's tips on which roads to take to Chichen Itza and what to look out for along the way ie speed bumps & bicyclists. All of his suggestions were really good and I'm very glad that we found the Solatino Travel Agency and Mike. Thanks Mike for the wonderful memories.
